Kingdom Hearts invasion brings Mythic Keyblade and Overrides to Fortnite

Kingdom Hearts is now live in Fortnite with the v42.20 update, and the crossover goes past outfits. GameSpot reports the Kingdom Key arrives as a usable weapon: it works up close in melee and can call down a bolt of lightning when players need to clear the area around them.

Two Kingdom Hearts Overrides change how matches play. The Level Up Override (Squad) spawns a Mythic Kingdom Key for each squad member at their current location, while the Recovery Override (Squad and Match-Wide) grants healing orbs on eliminations scored with any equipped weapon.

Epic also scheduled a Kingdom Hearts Power Hour for Saturday, September 19, in two windows: 11 AM to 1 PM PT (2 to 4 PM ET) and 6 to 8 PM PT (9 to 11 PM ET). Every player starts Power Hour matches with a Kingdom Key and Sea Salt Ice Cream. GameSpot lists the four outfits (Sora, Riku, Kairi and Roxas) in the Shop from September 17, live early in the morning with the patch per VICE rather than at the afternoon reset.
