Bandai unveils Grandista Sora figure for arcades September 25
Bandai Namco, Disney and Square Enix have announced a new Banpresto Grandista figure of Sora based on his look from the original Kingdom Hearts. Red jumpsuit, blue and white hoodie with short sleeves, big yellow shoes, and a Kingdom Key with an actual metal chain tipped by the Mickey head charm in his right hand. The prize figure stands about 24cm, roughly nine and a half inches, tall.
Grandista figures live on crane-game shelves, and this one will debut in Japanese arcades on September 25, 2026. No worldwide date has been announced. Past Grandista releases from lines like Mega Man have typically reached the Banpresto storefront on Amazon for between 30 and 50 dollars, so a similar path is likely if you are waiting outside Japan.

Timing makes it a clear nostalgia beat. The same week D23 and the June Nintendo Direct showed Sora's updated look for Quadratum and the Coco world, this release goes back to the design that started it all in 2002. Seeing original Sora beside Quadratum Sora is exactly the kind of contrast Disney Games director Nana Gadd pointed to at D23 when she called the anime just the first step of a larger ecosystem.
