Kingdom Hearts IV and Collection [I~III] join Square Enix's TGS 2026 lineup

Kingdom Hearts IV is going to Tokyo Game Show. Square Enix published its official TGS 2026 lineup on September 3, and both Kingdom Hearts IV (PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PC) and Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] (PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PC) are on it. The show runs September 17–21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba.

Temper expectations before booking flights: unlike Final Fantasy VII Revelation and Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, which both get playable demos on the show floor, neither Kingdom Hearts entry is listed with hands-on time. KH4's presence is lineup-only — expect booth presence, trailers, and possibly stage programming, but no controller in your hands.

The timing matters more than the booth. The Collection launches October 8, so Tokyo is its final public appearance before release — the last chance to see how Square Enix positions the native bundle against the delisted cloud versions. And for Kingdom Hearts IV, this is the first dated public appearance since D23 locked the late-2027 window: Nomura warned after the Famitsu interview that fans should expect a gap before the next information drop, and that gap ends at TGS one way or another.

What to watch for: whether KH4 gets stage time beyond a logo on the lineup card, whether the Collection shows anything new (the Switch 2 build in particular, arriving natively for the first time), and whether the 25th-anniversary programming Nomura teased for next year gets an early mention. Anything concrete will land here.
