Fan port brings delisted Union χ and Dark Road to PC browsers

Union χ is reachable again, unofficially. On September 21, modder Arena7664 announced on X a fan-made port of the Kingdom Hearts Union χ + Dark Road mobile app to PC via the web, writing that "KHUχ+DR has been ported to PC via the web." Kotaku covered the release on September 22, framing it as the first time since closure that the actual game has been accessible to people who missed its official run.

The port mirrors the final mobile build, so the two halves behave differently. Dark Road remains playable because Square Enix shipped an official offline version during the app's run, and that build carries over. Union χ itself is not playable here: the story is watchable as in-app cutscenes only. Fans previously kept the story alive through a YouTube fan-dub.

Union χ shut down in 2021 and, per GameSpot, the combined app was delisted from app stores in 2024, leaving anyone who hadn't installed it with no official way back in. Yet its story, the Keyblade War and the Master of Masters, feeds directly into Kingdom Hearts IV, dated late 2027, which brings back characters last seen in these entries. Kotaku notes the same pattern as the recently leaked Missing Link cinematic: discontinued mobile story resurfacing exactly as players try to get up to speed.
