Collection [I~III] takes No. 1 in Japan as Famitsu posts first-week sales

The Collection opened stronger at home than in the UK. Famitsu weekly sales for October 5-11, as rounded up by Nintendo Everything: the Switch 2 version debuts at No. 1 with 23,411 units, while the PS5 edition lands fifth at 6,261. Famitsu totals the two versions at 29,672 combined.

The rest of the top ten, per Famitsu (English titles via Nintendo Everything's rundown): Rhythm Heaven Groove rises to second at 14,527, Ace Combat 8 on PS5 slips to third at 13,801, and Famitsu notes five new titles (three works) charted in the top ten for the week.

The contrast with the overseas picture is the story here: the Collection opened at fifth in the UK physical charts in a crowded release week, so a clean No. 1 at home on its lead platform reads as the stronger signal. As always with Famitsu estimates, these are retail-tracked figures and exclude eShop digital sales.
